My Erdős Number
My Erdős number is at most 5. Paul Erdős was an amazing mathematician that wrote 1,475 papers and had 509 coauthors. Paul Hoffman wrote an interesting biography of Erdős called The Man Who Loved Only Numbers. As a tribute to Erdős, mathematicians, scientists, and engineers who publish papers keep track of their connection to Erdős by identifying their Erdős number. Paul Erdős has Erdős number 0. His coauthors have Erdős number 1, and, in turn, their coauthors (who are not direct Erdős coauthors) have Erdős number 2, etc. Below, I list the chain of cauthors between me and Paul Erdős.
- 5: Kostas Pagiamtzis
- 4: P. Glenn Gulak
- 3: Thomas Kailath
- 2: Jorma Rissanen
- 1: László Gerencsér
- 0: Paul Erdős
Végre nem butulok tovább.
[Finally I am becoming stupider no more.]
